JVBMO was established in 2004 by uniting The Japanese Vascular Cell Biology Organization and The Japanese Vascular Medicine Organization, both of which had been conducting basic and clinical researches on vascular biology. Since vasculatures expand their network into the entire body, the study of vascular biology and medicine covers not only their physiological roles in the development and maintenance of all organs but pathological consequences of many types of vascular-related diseases and therapeutic strategies including regenerative medicine. JVBMO provides opportunities for basic and clinical vascular biologists to communicate each other through presenting and discussing their latest research results. Furthermore, JVBMO plays pivotal roles to facilitate opportunities for their members and those from other Asian vascular organizations to notify research accomplishments worldwide as an Asian regional office for International Vascular Biology Meeting (IVBM).
